Shortly after completing his first sculpture, the artist was commissioned to create a replica of a Welsh Pony named Mira. His rendition of the National award winner was built to scale from stainless steel with copper eyes.

“Amira” was one of the 191 art pieces selected to be on exhibit at the 2005 California State Fair Fine Art Exhibit from the 978 entries submitted. "Amira" received an "Award of Excellence".
